Brock's Surgery
This morning we started our day at 5:00a.m. Ryszard gave Brock a blessing and we then made our way to Shriner's Hospital for Brock's Surgery. A simple 3-4 second cut of the heel cord {achilles tendon} to lengthen the heel cord and allow better rotation, followed by another long leg casting{#7} that he will wear for 3 weeks. {This set is much bigger and they feel much heavier then the last 6.} We then spoke briefly with Brock's doctor, {Dr. Mack} about how it went. The nurse handed Brock over to me and we went to Brock's room, then a short 15-20 minutes later we were walking out the door. {They didn't have to use any anesthesia, so we were in and out in about 2 hours, not bad for a surgical procedure.}

I am so glad everything went well. Did he sleep through the whole thing? He is a very lucky boy to have you two as parents. Love ya!
He looks great! I hope he didn't feel a thing. At least he won't remember it. He IS getting big. and those cast look HUGE! Are they turning up his foot more than before?

Hey girl! You are so strong! really you are. Your little guy takes after you and he is so adorable. I had a hard time when i had mallory (my oldest) who had hip displacia when she was born and had to be put in a brace for 3 months. i thought that was hard. but surgery and casts this little wow. im thinking about you. hope things are going well.
