Brock's new obsession.

So much so that the other day he just wanted to lay down and take a nap. Right in the middle of the front room. Mack truck in hand.

Five, Six, Pick up Sticks.

I had everything I needed to get a great shot of Brock, and then he moved. He would rather pick up sticks and throw them down the hill, then sit still and let me take his picture.
I still got a great shot!

Brock at 6 months,

Nicholas at 5 months

Nicholas

Is almost 5 months old! {just a week to go}
He loves:
to kick his feet, and push off of things
to roll onto his tummy
to eat his fingers {and mommy's}
and lately he has started scooting around trying to follow Brock {he LOVES his big brother!}

First Taste

I had planned on waiting until next week to officially give Nicholas his first taste of cereal. But he's been eye my food for a while now and I figured to just go for it.

He seemed a little unsure and I don't know if his happy reaction was due to finally tasting food or Brock running all around me. I guess I will never know.

Nicholas still has a bit of tongue reflex but he did eat half of what I prepared for him, so that's a good sign. I will be feeding him rice cereal for the next month and then move into so "real" food. most likely his first food will be avocado {just like Brock} but we will see.

Stationary Play

Nicholas has really loved playing in his new toy.


He just loves being upright and able to see everyone!

Which makes me remember when Brock was a baby and first enjoyed the fun. So I decided to do a little side by side:

Can you tell who's who? Both Nicholas and Brock are 5 months old in these pictures. Nicholas' hair is a bit more noticeable. {Brock had hair but it was very light and thin}
Could they get any cuter?

Starting to look alike...

I've always thought that Nicholas looked totally different than Brock. every once in a while he would make a face that looked somewhat similar to Brock but not enough. But the other day I attempted to take a picture with the boys and figured out a few things:
1: I do not like the way I look in pictures, {which is fine I can always crop myself out, and besides you only want to see pics of the boys anyway!}
2: Ryszard is not very good at taking pics.
and 3: Nicholas is starting to look like Brock...

While Daddy is Out...

And LOVES to be near his brother.

Brock on the other hand will only last a few seconds near Nicholas before he's off...

and driving his "cars" everywhere!

Today while on facebook Brock came and looked at the screen spotted my Mom's pic and said NANA!
It was a very happy moment!
