Dallas's Blessing Day

What a special day it was today. Ryszard was able to give Dallas a sweet special blessing during church.
I'm just glad the outfit Nana and grandpa Al got him still fit.  (getting a picture of him in it was another story.) I am so grateful for the wonderful spirit that was with us today. Ryszard's Aunt was able to drive up from Pennsylvania to join us and Ryszard as always felt impressed to share some great blessings instore for Dallas including but not limited to: humility and charity, knowledge and wisdom and the desire to live a life that was centered on the gospel.

In this picture Nicholas is being protective, Brock loving, and Dallas is of course HUNGRY!
We are truly blessed with some pretty amazing boys.

Asking Questions

my parents divorced when I was young and I haven't had much contact with my father for a long time. I've sent him a few pictures over the years, but other than that not much else. So my boys have never met their grandpa. They tend to ask questions about him now and then but this week they have been asking questions daily.
Nicholas: "mommy what is your daddy's name"
Brock:" where does your daddy live"
Nicholas: " how old is your daddy"
etc...

I have answered those questions and thought nothing much of it until Saturday night came and I was out with Dallas running a few errands. First Ryszard called me, and then my mom a few minutes later letting me know that my Dad had passed away. I wasn't really too emotional about it. He has been in pain for some time now and kind of just stuck. The whole way home from the store I thought about him and was comforted knowing that he is now reunited with his parents, and no longer in hurting from pain.

I do find it very interesting to realize now that my boys were much more in tune with things than I was. I really feel that they in some way knew to ask those questions about my dad all week. I think in answering their questions I was able to  prepare for the news. and not be too over come with emotion.  Thank you boys for all your questions, for helping my prepare and be ready for the sad news.  I love you Daddy.

2 months old!

Hasn't stopped growing. He is now 16 pounds and 24.5 inches!  My arms are tired and my back  hurts, and yet I can't help but want to hold this little guy all day long.
He's just started to notice his hands. Loves it when mommy sings "do as I'm doing" and smiles constantly when his big brother Brock is near by.  And he is just so adorable!

3 Boys in a Hat

there are just some things that are just too cute to get rid of. When I was expecting Brock 6 years ago I found a cute little hat for him to wear. I loved how my chubby checked 5 month old  looked in it.
The hat accidentally took a ride in the dryer and shrunk but Nicholas was a wit=nter baby so it was perfect for his little newborn head.
And now we have Dallas. our ever growing baby. He is now 5 weeks old and I am currently packing up his 3 month sized clothes and moving him into 6month sizes. But I had to get a picture of him in the same hat his brothers wore.

To me, most of the time Dallas looks just like Nicholas did as a baby, but on occasion he looks like Brock. When I took this picture he looked like Brock. Here's a side by side:

What do you think??
