Birthday BBQ

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture but we had invited a few friends over for dinner and birthday cake! Ryszard bought a new grill on Monday and we decided we needed to break it in with a birthday BBQ! we had lots of fun and Brock had fun playing with his new toys. Ryszard and I are planning to take Brock to the Aquarium this weekend so I will definitely have some fun pictures of that. Tomorrow we have Brock's 12 Month check up and I am excited to see how much he weighs, and to get the okay from our doctor to go ahead and turn Brock's car seat to face forward! FUN FUN!

Fun To Be One...

I decided that I'm going to make a birthday shirt for Brock every year telling anyone who passes by that it is his birthday! This year his shirt reads:

Brock must have known today was his day because he made an early start, waking up at 5:30am! {a little too early for my liking!} but I sang happy birthday and then decided I better get up. We've got a lot of things to do today so I guess we'll just have more time to do it! First things first make a birthday cake!

We have more fun coming so stay tuned!....

Climbing Adventures..

On Sunday Ryszard watches Brock during the 2nd and third hour of church so I can focus on my other kids! The entire Primary, I am/was the music leader. Although I have been released and am now the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency! But I am still filling in as music leader until we find a new music leader. Anyway when Ryszard brought Brock up to me after church he informed me that Brock crawled up all the stair 3 and 1/2 times. {Our stairs here at the house are behind a closed door so he doesn't bother them}, and thus far has been uninterested in climbing stairs, but now that he knows how, he has been climbing on and off everything, the couch, the bed, the chairs. Looks like I have a little climber on my hands!

Ryszard told me I could go ahead and get it! Originally $379.99 I got it for $36 and some change! How GREAT is that? Happy late Mother's Day gift to me!

Brock's Great Grandpa Joe

We took a trip down to Pennsylvania this past weekend to visit Grandpa Joe. It's been almost a year since we've seen Grandpa Joe so we knew it was time for a visit. Brock loved getting to meet his cousin Keri who also came up from Florida to visit Grandpa.
We had fun visiting Grandpa at the Veterans Center where he is staying, we took a walk out to the courtyard for some fresh air, and we liked spending some time in the resident's lounge where Brock loved looking out the window and exploring every inch of that room!
Surprisingly he didn't even touch the books on the book shelf until just before we left after our second day of visiting with Grandpa. {He loves pulling the books off the shelf at home!} We discovered a very fun restaurant called Cooper's Seafood. I ordered the crab and shrimp fondue, and will now crave it everyday from now on!
Here are just a few pictures from our trip.

It was hard to get Grandpa to talk with us, but we know he really loved having us there. Grandpa loved watching Brock cruise around the room. We even had a little race between them in the hall.

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend, I know we did!
While Visiting with Grandpa Joe, Brock received a new nickname from some of the other Veterans and we have been using it ever since!
Brock "BRUISER" Milewski!

Childhood Memories {part 1}

was just blog stalking and came across a post about have surprise dinners. where you would order your meal by course but everything had a different name so you never knew what you were getting or when. Reading this reminded me of a game I used to play with my sisters when I was younger. I think we called it Restaurant.
Our menus were filled with Delicious items such as "cheese crunchies" aka saltine crackers with cheese slices and "veggie slide" aka vegetables and ranch dip. Each menu consisted of 5-6 items. the customer would choose their entree and the chef would quickly make each plate to order. Once everyone had their meal a new chef was choosen and the process would start all over again. Sometimes if you were a really good chef you would be choosen to go again! {Which I personally thought was awesome, that means everyone loved what you made and wanted more!}
I loved playing this game then, and which I could play more often! Although I still feel very special when I go to visit my family and they all have something they want me to make. mostly it's soft pretzels and/or cinnamon rolls. but maybe it's beacuse I am an awesome chef and they never eat as well when I'm not there!
That's just me and my wishful thinking!

Brock Holmes!

last Saturday Ryszard spent some time helping a friend build his garage. Brock and I stopped by to see the process and Brock decided he wanted to drive Daddy's truck. {Ryszard has wanted me to post these pics for a while and I've finally got around to it!}
Ryszard and I are big fans of the show Holmes on Homes, and think Brock totally looks like a little Mike Holmes in these pics!

This one magically appeared on here when I was uploading pictures! It's cute so I just let it stay!
