Big E Fun!

The boys have been waiting for this day FOREVER!  It time for the BIG E! The boys had a blast last year and couldn't wait for the chance to go again this year.
  Ryszard and I found a day to head on over and enjoy some fun. Brock and Nicholas enjoyed some fun rides.

 We all enjoyed their yummy, delicious, huge, BIG E cream puffs.

 we even visited the lego man!

 who then attacked Brock!
we had a great family night at the big E!

Tender Moments & a Treat.

Yesterday the boys and I went with a group of friends up to Vermont to visit the Joseph Smith Birthplace  Memorial.
  The whole week leading up to our little trip we learned little things about Joseph Smith during "learning time" at home, but when we got there Brock thought we were actually going to see Joseph Smith.{guess I've got to explain that one a little better} The boys were great in the car but after a 2 hour drive, they just wanted to run around. {can't blame them really}
 So while everyone else watch a little movie,  we hung out in the hall. on the chairs, and ended up going out side into the little bit of snow they had there. {our winter has been pretty bleak} The boys did more running around or should I say running away from me!

 {Love this pic of Nicholas}

They got cold so we went back inside just in time to meet our friends.

 We then went a little further north to Ben and Jerry's! Where we enjoyed a little tour

and then received a fun ice cream treat at the end. Our flavor sample was mint chocolate chip. Very yummy and shockingly, Brock enjoyed every last lick.

 {He is usually not an ice cream boy}. They even have a flavor graveyard located there for all their retired flavors.  {Hopefully my favorite never ends up there!}

 It was fun. Thanks to our dear friends for thinking of us and bringing us along on the ride.

Turning a portable crib into a...

Ball pit.   I recently started pinning. Yeah I know but I'm not obsessed, Yet.

anyway a fun idea was to turn your play yard into a ball pit. so the other night when I finished cleaning a bit and just wanted to relax I emptied our numerous amounts of plastic balls into our portable crib/ play yard.the first thing I noticed. our numerous amount of plastic balls does not seem that numerous when emptied into a play yard. and 2 the boys LOVED it.
Now just to try out a few more things I've "pinned"!

Garden Quilt Show.

My Mom invited me to go to a Quilt show with her last night. Uncle Mark was willing to watch the boys {thankfully!}  We met my sister Tammy there and enjoyed the beautiful quilts on display. Mom and Tammy both attend a quilt class at American Quilting {they were hosting the Garden party}. It was very cute. and nice to have a few minuets away from the boys. Thanks Mom and Mark!

Aquarium, Cute Boys and Bowling.

Today we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Salt Lake City {Sandy}. It was fun but very quick it maybe took us 30 minutes to go through. {I guess I'm just used to Boston where it takes you a good 2 hours}
The octopus was/ is my favorite.

 Loved the little droplets on water on the snake.
 My favorite pic of Nicholas at the Aquarium.

After going through the Aquarium so quickly, we decided to head over to Gardner Village {thanks Amy for helping us with directions} got my favorite candy Puntini

and tasted some yummy butterfinger fudge at the Sweet Shoppe.

Saw some cute ideas at Pins and Needles  and pretty quilts at the Quilt Shop. {but nothing compared to my Mommy's Quilts} and actually got a few cute pics of the boys {Which made up for the super bad lighting in the Aquarium.}

After a few naps. Uncle Mark got Home for Work and We were ready for our next adventure BOWLING!  I haven't been bowling in... forever. And haven't been Ten-Pin/ duck pin/ big ball bowling, {yes there's that many names for what most people just consider bowling}  for even longer than forever.
Candle pin {pictured right for those of you who don't know the difference}
 Rocks and everything else is just ok. {my New England buddies know exactly what I am talking about!}

Anyway Brock has been wanting to go bowling ever since playing a bowling game at Chuck E Cheese. So I've been telling him we would go with Uncle Mark because Uncle Mark loves to bowl. so here we are 2 months+ into our visit and finally going bowling.

It's been a long day and super fun but we are tired now.
