Welcome Home Little One!

Tuesday morning I went to my OBGYN for a check on the baby. It was his due date and still nothing going on . My doctor and I then talked about being induced and set that up for Thursday morning.
So I planned on getting up Wednesday doing one last workout at the gym and finish getting things ready to be admitted on Thursday.    Notes written to Brock's  teacher about who would be picking him up and where I would be, in case he started acting up in class. (He has been very anxious waiting for baby 'a arrival). That was the plan anyway!
Wednesday morning I woke up to one of this many potty visits us pregnant women have and the minute I entered the bathroom my water broke.
Gush!
Just like in the movies!
After cleaning that up I took a quick shower and changed and climbed back into bed. My contractions had started by that point but they were still 10 minutes apart and not painful at all so I laid back in bed and counted them out.
I finally got out of bed at my usual time (7:00am). To get Brock's lunch ready and get him off to school. Still contraction were 7-10 minutes apart and not painful so I  walked through it. When Ryszard got up I casually told him. " by the way my water broke this morning. ".  We told the boys and dropped Brock off at school and telling him by the end of the day he would have a new baby brother.
Ryszard and I then went to Target to get a booster seat for Babcia's car. (It took me a long time to get the other car seats in just right and I didn't want to move them back and forth from car to car.).  When we got home I called my OB and left a message. Then I decided to try and take a nap contractions had slowed at this point and I was just tired.  That's when the nurse called and told me to come in.
We checked in at 10:08 got into the birthing room at 11:30 and started pitocin. At 2:30 I gave in and got my epidermal. Ouch!   And started pushing at 4:00. It was hard!   I was extremely tied and seriously did not feel up to pushing this little guy out.  It took everything I had and then some.  Finally our baby boy was here!  I was expecting a 8 and half pounder just like my other two had been but Dallas surprised us with a whopping 9 lbs 4 oz.   No wonder I felt so tired!   We absolutely love him to pieces.
The boys were so excited to meet Dallas when we brought him home. Nicholas has been my little helper with everything. And Brick just wants to "hold  the baby" all of the time. Can't say I blame him Dallas is adorable!     We are now officially a family of 5!
This was a hard delivery on me. And it's taken me a lot longer to start feeling better / my old self.  Completely sore everywhere. Totally needing a massage, a chriopacter and a hot tub!
