10 Months Old

Our little Bubba Brock is now 10 months old! I had this vision of getting some great pictures of him playing with my big blue yoga balance ball, but Brock just didn't want to sit still. So I have no pictures to show off his cuteness, but hopefully he will let me take his picture in the next couple of days so I can show you all what a big boy he is!

300 and a haircut.

After picking up a new set of shoes for Brock's brace at Shriner's Hospital for Children on Monday morning I decided to give Brock a haircut. He was starting to get a few curly Q's near his ears although I ended up trimming it a little shorter than I wanted to, I actually love the end result! He looks so much older {at least to me.}
This is also my 300th post! crazy fun!

A Few Random Moments

As I tried to put Brock down for his nap yesterday he fought me every step of the way. So of course I let him stay up, no big deal right? Or so I thought, until we were sitting down for dinner and after a couple of bites little Brock did this:
Dead asleep in his chair. I usually catch him before he falls asleep, but this time he showed no signs of being tired. He was sitting up perfectly eating each bite and then all of a sudden this:
Brock also loves taking a bath. He kicks and screams every time we have to take him out, but we can't leave him in there all night, can we? Here's my cute little bath tub baby!

Eggs, Asparagus and Corn.

Yummy right? Well, maybe not all at once but those are the 3 new foods Brock has tried in the past few weeks. He loves asparagus, which is good because Ryszard and I love it too!Corn went over well too, although who doesn't love corn? And a few days ago I gave him eggs for the first time. although he kind of filled up on his oatmeal and peaches first so I'll have to give them another try before I can say he loves them! Brock continues to do really well with all the new foods he is introduced to. It makes me very happy! His favorites are still avocados and butternut squash, {which are a few of my favorites too!}
Brock also loves when we go out to eat. He likes to flirt with the waitresses! He's a ladies man already! Oh BOY!

Quote of the Week

"Jesus said several times, "Come, follow me." His was a program of "do what I do," rather than "do what I say." His innate brilliance would have permitted him to put on a dazzling display, but that would have left his followers far behind. He walked and worked with those he was to serve. His was not a long-distance leadership. He was not afraid of close friendships; he was not afraid that proximity to him would disappoint his followers. The leaven of true leadership cannot lift others unless we are with and serve those to be led."
--Spencer W. Kimball, {"Jesus: The Perfect Leader", Ensign, Aug. 1979}

Fun at Shriners

So I'm finally getting around to posting those Pictures from Yesterday. Brock really enjoyed running around the waiting area at Shriners and discovering all the fun stuff there is to play with. Up until now Brock has been content with just sitting on my lap and watching everyone else. But now that he's really moving on his own He didn't want anything to do with me. {Except to glance back and smile whenever he found a new toy!}

Check Up .

Brock had a quick check up at Shriners Hospital for Children today. His feet continueue to look great and we also decided to go ahead and get his feet measured and put in an order for new shoes. {Didn't I do this at his last appointment just 3 months ago?} Anyway Brock had a blast crawling around the waiting room. He has very limited space here at home and loved being able to explore!All the nurses came over to say hello and Brock had to flash his killer smile and melt them all to pieces! it was quite fun! {I'll post some pics later when I'm not fighting off Brock from playing with the keyboard!}
