lovin' on Brock

Every once in a while I actually capture a cute pic of this little guy. He usually has a goofy smile on his face when we take pictures. But I can't help but love every inch of him.

Brock enters Kindergarten

I know many moms out there that shed a few tears on the day their child enters Kindergarten.
 I was not one of them.
Brock keeps me on my toes and is a constant ball of energy and  questions.  I have been looking forward to kindergarten starting  since before summer started.   Not one tear shed by me.  Brock kept telling me how scared he was because he didn't know anyone.  I just kept reassuring him that he would be fine. He makes friends very easily at the park, so I suggested he approach the kids at school the same way,  and he did.  Right when he got into line that first day he turned around to another little boy in his class and said "Hi, I'm Brock.  What's your name?"  simple as that.
 So very proud of him.  {although I still wish he would smile for the camera once in a while}

Baby #3

excited to be welcoming a new little addition to our family next year.  Another baby boy for us. I was really really really wanting a girl and was hoping all my family and friends would be right in their predictions, but boy it is.  I'm still excited for baby to be here. {Although not sure how I'm going to handle 3 boys}  This baby is due on Nicholas 4th birthday, which I think would be so fun for them to share a birthday.
Brock wants the baby to come on New Years. So far I have been feeling great. although I do get tired every day at 3:00 on the dot. and usually put on a cartoon for the boys to watch while I lay down. but other than that I'm feeling great.

GRRRRRRRRRR!

Can you tell I'm mad. and can you blame me when my little garden goes from this:
 to this:

In just a few days.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!   Apparently here in New England (well East of the rockies actually) they have these "fun" little moths called Vine Borers that like to attack your vine plants from the inside out.  Literally over night your plants die, at least mine did.
Brock was very very upset about this, lots of tears.  They got our cucumbers, zucchini, butternut squash, and pumpkins.  Nicholas was pretty sad about it to. Mainly because his cute little pumpkin stopped growing!  Guess we will have to head to the pumpkin patch instead.   Hopefully we will have better luck next year.
