Preschool!

Brock started preschool today!
I have been doing "school time" with him for a few  years, but I knew he needed more socializing with other kids his age, and I wanted him to be in a classroom setting so an actual preschool was the answer. we talked about it for a few weeks. What to expect, where he would be going and for how long.
Brock prayed about school last night at dinner and Daddy gave him a blessing this morning. on the way there he told me how he though he would be a little nervous at school without me, but that he thought he could do it. (for a little guy who seriously has never spent more than 2 days away from me I thought he was acting very brave!
  I am excited to see how he will grow in a preschool environment, plus with him being in school it will give me a chance to do one on one school time with Nicholas where we can focus on his letters and colors.

so excited for our new schedule and new adventures!

Backyard Football

The boys love to go out side and play football. In reality it's just tag while they hold a football, but still football. I just put on shoes and go out with them. Ryszard on the other hand gets ready for the game.

The boys love it! I think it's great for them to play outside with Daddy like that.   Although lately Brock has been into tackling and his tackling is actually just him shoving Nicholas out of the way.  Not so nice. At least they have fun!

Big E Fun!

The boys have been waiting for this day FOREVER!  It time for the BIG E! The boys had a blast last year and couldn't wait for the chance to go again this year.
  Ryszard and I found a day to head on over and enjoy some fun. Brock and Nicholas enjoyed some fun rides.

 We all enjoyed their yummy, delicious, huge, BIG E cream puffs.

 we even visited the lego man!

 who then attacked Brock!
we had a great family night at the big E!

Speckled Frogs and Line Tracing

 just a few of the activities we do during school time.

I made these  word lists for Brock to practice his writing skills. he is still learning how to write some of the lowercase letters but does and AWESOME job at looking at the word and trying to make his letters look like those printed.

So proud of my big boys and their willingness to learn.  hope I can continue to help them along the way!

Hang, Play, SPLASH!

Park time play again!
 Brock has been my monkey bar master lately he tries over and over and over again until he gets all the way across by himself. I remember loving monkey bars when I was little. but they are killer on my hands these days.

 Nicholas loves to play jail. he finds the one spot on the playground with bars, {or something similar} and says "I in jail" I try to tell him that bad guys go to jail. and that he's a good boy. but he doesn't care.

 this park also has a splash pad, that was finally open after getting repaired. SO FUN! Nicholas has no fear, loves being in the water Brock on the other hand loves it as long as it doesn't get in his eyes. every time it did he would run off grab his shirt and dry off his eyes then go back to playing in the water. just to return back to wipe his eyes again.

 love Nicholas's happy face !

Don't you just love warm park play days? We sure do!

Basketball Hall of Fame.

 The boys and I enjoyed a morning at the Basketball Hall of Fame. They didn't care for the history part much. {I did try to get them to look at a few things.
                           Nicholas comparing his size 9toddler, to Shaquille O'Neal's size 23 shoe.

                                                          { For my Utah Jazz loving Family}
                                       {James Naismith, invented the game of Basket Ball in 1891}

 The boys "Palming" different size balls. or at least trying to.
                                                                    LARRY BIRD!
                                                      {loved the hand dryers in the bathroom!}
                                  they LOVED shooting hoops all over the court.

                                                       Trying to make a basket, literally!
 After  our fun at the hall of fame we stopped by Coldstone, {which happens to be connected to the hall of fame} for a yummy ice cream treat.
