Confession...

I've never taken Brock on a slide. Not even one of those little baby slides.
The first time Brock went down the full length of a slide was with his cousin Julia last August. I was 4 months pregnant with Nicholas and didn't want to even attempt the slides. Thankfully I have a beautiful willing niece who loves babies and was willing to be mini Mom for me. Brock went down one slide with her no problem. We went to a bigger, twister slide and Brock somewhat pushed her away and started going down himself. I thought he would come to the bottom completely scared and never want to go on a slide again. But I was so wrong. He loved it and has never wanted help since.He isn't perfect I still need to remind him to SIT before he starts his downward adventure. I still need to remind him to stay sitting until he comes to the end. {Actually I would have never had to teach him that if it weren't for the crazy "big kids" who decided it would be fun to show him that they could stand up mid slide, climb back to the top and slide down all over again. Thank you "big kids".}
I took the Boys to the park the other day and realized just how grown up Brock is. Although Brock knows I don't like him climbing up the slides, I did let him just to see if he could. And you know what...
He DID!
{I blame myself for getting him tennis shoes, with fantastic grip}
But I find myself in awe of all the things he has learned to do in just 2 short years. I can't wait to see the accomplishments yet to come.

A Double Doctor's Visit:

Brock's 2 year stats: 33 lbs 6 oz and 37 inches tall.

Nicholas' 4 month stats: 15 lbs 10 oz and 26 inches.

Both boys had to get shots so Ryszard came with me to help. Brock also had a blood test poor kid 3 pokes in one day.
Nicholas didn't like being poked either.

What could be better?

Turning TWO!

today I woke up filling so unmotivated. And like a horrible mom. I didn't plan anything for Brock's birthday. I know he is too young to even realize what is happening or to care in the first place but still. But even with out a plan he seemed to have a good day He and I had a special outing to the grocery store to pick out a cake/ { I had planned on making him one but then decided since it was supposed to be wicked hot today I didn't want to add to the heat by baking!} I am so glad I opted to buy a small cake because it was WICKED Hot {100 degrees at 6:00 pm} Brock picked out a cake with red, white and blue balloons on it. I had them write happy birthday on it and then when we got home I added a few "CARS" cars.

I gave Brock a pretty big piece to eat but he's not into sweets and wouldn't even take a bite. just wanted to drive his cars on it. Silly silly! so here's my Birthday Boy:

Froggy Pool Fun

Although I had every intention on getting our little froggy pool out long ago I just never got around to it. I asked Ryszard to get the hose out for me before he left for work. That is all I asked him to do but he did so much more. He got the pool out, blew it up, cleaned and sanitized it, {there was a bit of mildew on it from last year} and filled it. I was so grateful because it was a lot more work than I thought about and with the 2 boys it would have taken me much longer.

So I got a blanket for Nicholas to relax on, a towel for Brock, a camera for me, and we headed to the back yard.
Although I could easily have picture overload in this post I will refrain and just share with you a few of my favorite pics from today's Froggy Pool Fun!


Brock was twisting my arm {literally} to put Nicholas in the pool with him.

Brock loved that and wanted me to leave them alone, but I told him the Nicholas still needed Mommy to help and that seemed to satisfy him for a while. Nicholas didn't mind to water at all and even helped me splash Brock a few times.
Brock loved having me splash him with the water and then running off I would chase him all around the yard. He couldn't get enough.

What a fun day we had. I hope there will be many more to come this summer!

Laughing and more.

Today after my morning workout and a quick shower I sat down to nurse Nicholas, but he was not interested so we just sat and watched Brock play.
Nicholas started laughing I thought maybe I had tickled him somehow but nope, he was laughing at his Big brother.
Brock wasn't doing anything particularly funny, just his normal self. Watching Dinosaur Train and playing with his cars. Nicholas loves watching Brock play but today was the first day he actually laughed because of Brock's playing. It was too cute. Ryszard was home for lunch so he was able to see it too. So fun. I Told Brock that he was making Nicholas laugh and so he did a few more things just for Nicholas . I tell you it's going to be fun watching these two little guys play together. Nicholas laugh and Brock trying everything to make him laugh more.

Weekend Fun and More

This past weekend was pretty fun for me and the boys.
We had tickets to the Shrine Circus so I packed up Nicholas and Brock and we headed out. Brock decided to lead the way through the crowd.

I don't think he really knew what was going on and was trying to get through the crowd as fast as possible. But we did see some clowns on the way in, and bought a program {that I never even looked at until we got home}

I decided we would just go in and find our seats. I ended up sitting in the wrong seats, {Apparently we had better seats than I thought} thankfully it was the row right in front of us, and boxed in, that's right we had box seats. Which was nice because I could better contain the boys there.


Brock saw a lot of kids with glowing swords and such so I told him if he was a good boy I would get him one. And I have to admit for a 2 year old, well just shy of turning 2 {23 days} he did very well, Brock really wasn't into to the circus at all. I tried to get him to watch all the fun things going on, but he didn't seem to care much, except when the cars went driving by, oh and the doggie act {Neecha’s Performing Dobermans}, and he was a bit intrigued by the baby Elephant.


{I think his age along with the fact that he wanted to sit on my lap but couldn't because I was holding Nicholas, and that it was right in the middle of his nap time, made him not really care} but I enjoyed it. We ended up leaving before intermission because Brock was getting restless and kept trying to escape. I did stop to get him a sword, because all in all he did behave really well. There was another unexpected surprise at the Shrine Circus....

Wrong. {Although the Bridal party behind us totally thought it was him and were practically hyperventilating. Girls are crazy!}
It's actually Chris something or other I really didn't hear his full name. I think they said Young, or maybe Woodward. Anyway I just know it wasn't Tim, {Although that would have been fun too!}

Riding Adventures
Brock has always been a very good boy when it comes to riding in the car. short trips, long trips, makes no difference to him he loves looking out the windows and watching all the fun things that we drive by.

He is too funny. Sometimes I wish I could just sit and watch him instead of running errands.
Brock loves to point out all the Basketball hoops we pass by. and his latest obbsession is CARS both the movie and the toys. I have actually made a new rule to allow movie watching only on the weekend. {I know I'm such a bummer Mommy}

Also here the latest news on Nicholas~
He now knows how to ROLL OVER!!!!!!!!!!!! He has been flirting with the idea for a few weeks now and Sunday he got really close even played on his side for a good 10 minutes. But today as I was setting Brock up with his crayons and coloring paper I looked over at Nicholas who had been quietly watching us and all of a sudden right when I looked over he decided to roll onto his tummy. Babies usually roll from tummy to back first, but not my Nicho! He is a back to tummy roller
