Weekend Fun

This past Saturday Ryszard played  football. The boys and I went to cheer him on. Brock fell asleep and Nicholas spent the first quarter doing everything but sit still. It got cold really fast so we spent most of the game in the truck. It was a long cold night but I did get some cute pics of Nicholas.

Love my Nicho so much!

Thanksgiving...

Yes! I am a little slow at getting this up I didn't take any pictures of our Thanksgiving day celebration. but we had the best time. Ryszard's  Aunt Louise came up to visit us. Brock was in "heaven." Brock loves his Chuchi Louise {I'm sure I spelled that wrong.  Chuchi is aunt in polish} Anyway he and Nicholas had so much fun with Aunt Louise. I think Louise and Brock did puzzles for about 3 days straight.  Thanks Louise for coming and spending some time with us We Love You!

Countdown to Christmas.

On December 1st  the boys got a visit from one of Santa's little helper's "Peppy Smikleifigus". She brought for them 24  little gifts. We've been opening one a day and the boys look forward to it all day. Each gift is a Christmas book for us to read each night up until Christmas.   Books we've read so far:

Just a little way for us to count down the days until Christmas.

Our Shriner's Check up.

For the past little while Brock has been complaining that putting on his brace at night hurts his foot. I've let him go without it a few times just to calm him down but mostly I ease him into his brace by massaging his feet really well.  And after that he puts them on and sleeps just fine.
We  had our check up at Shriner's today.
Our doctor said his feet looked AMAZING! I talked to him a bit about Brock's complaints. He watched Brock walk up and down the hall a few times, jump up and down a few times, and did a few stretches with him. Reviewed his age and said that we could discontinue the brace.  I am pretty excited about that. Since we returned from our summer trip to Utah, Nicholas has been sharing a bed with Brock and I go in there at least 3 times a night just to make sure Brock isn't smackin Nicholas with his crazy twisting and turning.   He still twists and turns alot but at least his deadly weapon isn't attached anymore. I will continue with some stretching exersices and we'll return to Shriner's again in 6 months for another check on Brock's feet.  Just a reminder of what his feet looked like on day one:
Can't believe how far he's come.

Halloween weekend

Saturday we jump started our Halloween festivities by attending an extra special story time at Barnes and Noble. They also had a bunch of other things going on as well like: pumpkin decorating, a costume parade, cat helicopters face paint and more. my boys didn't care too much about most of those things they'd rather just play with the train table. and I did get Brock to wear his costume for a little bit. Nicholas didn't want to wear his so I did. I'm just not really into the whole trick or treating thing with them. probably because they are so little and I would rather hold off on the candy as much as possible.  I think one day I'll be more into it, but today is not that day!

We picked up a few things at Target and then headed back to the house, and got here just before it started to snow .

Then it snowed, and snowed and snowed.  In the morning this is what we saw:

There was some beauty in the storm.

Brock and Nicholas loved playing in the snow and helping shovel the paths

Good news is we have power. so many do not. but I don't think I'll be taking the kids trick or treating tonight. TOO COLD!

There's this little boy...

Who loves to roar like a dinosaur. Who loves his dinosaur pj's. And who loves to wear big boy undies just like his brother. So, when I saw this book at the store the other day :

I had to buy it.  Because lately {daily} this is what my roaring, dino pj, undies wearing boy looks like.

  I LOVE it.
