"Big Boy Bed"

Yesterday we decided to change our convertible crib back into a crib {it had been in "daybed" mode" for Brock,} for Nicholas and to move Brock into a "Big Boy Bed"
Since Brock wear's a brace at night {and will for a few more years} I debated a bit on what would be best and decided that we would just get a twin mattress and place it directly on the floor. Well we have had a full size mattress downstairs for a while and decided why not let Brock use that. {So Brock now has a bed 4 times his size! Technically he has a BIG big boy bed!}
I thought his favorite part of having a "big bed" would be jumping on it to his hearts desire, but no! His favorite part is pulling his basketball hoop over to the bed and preforming "slam dunks" for us!

Isn't it amazing how two tiny feet can leave such amazing footprints on your heart?

Brock loves... Puppies!

I had to run a quick errand to the mall today and decided to take Brock with me. Since Brock was being such a good boy and listening very well I decided to take him to see the puppies. He loved it! he has sort of been deprived of seeing the puppies for the past month due to a new little love in our life, So he was very happy to see his puppies and say hi to all the girls working there.

Nicholas' One Month Checkup.

Can't believe how fast this first month has gone! Nicholas and I ventured out for his 1 month checkup today. Official stats are: 10 lbs 4 oz and a little over 23 inches!
{He is about a pound smaller than Brock was at 1 month, but Brock was also doing some serious weight lifting too.}
Besides I like my little bear just the way he is.

My Boys

I absolutely love Brock's expression in this picture! Brock loves to have Nicholas sit in this bouncer seat. I think because it put Nicholas in the perfect spot for him to play with. Nicholas actually puts up with quite a bit of Brock's playing and has actually started smiling at Brock when he comes to play with him. It is very precious.

Talking!

Nicholas started talking with us yesterday. Brock came in my room after his nap and climbed up onto the bed where Nicholas and I were hanging out. Nicholas started looking at him move from one edge of the bed to another and back I told Brock to sit still and that's when it happened Nicholas gave a big smile and started chatting away. It was so very cute Brock and I just giggle to each other and listened to little Nicholas talk away I then decided that maybe I should take a little video for daddy, but by the time I came back with the camera Nicholas was done and ready to go to sleep again. I hope to catch him on video soon so we can share that with our family far away, but until then this picture will have to do!
