But I put him into his shoes and continued on with our regular routine. The shoes are still a little big, but I find it fun to remember how teeny tiny his feet once were and how much they have already grown. So although these special shoes still seem huge, I know that in the blink of an eye Brock's toes will once again start creeping their way to and over the edge of the shoes."Gratitude is a Spirit‑filled principle. It opens our minds to a universe permeated with the richness of a living God. Through it, we become spiritually aware of the wonder of the smallest things, which gladden our hearts with their messages of God's love. This grateful awareness heightens our sensitivity to divine direction. When we communicate gratitude, we can be filled with the Spirit and connected to those around us and the Lord. Gratitude inspires happiness and carries divine influence." ~Bonnie D. Parkin~

"There is gratitude for our mothers. One writer summed up our love for mother when he declared, 'God could not be everywhere, and so He gave us mothers.' While on the cruel cross of Calvary, suffering intense pain and anguish, Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, 'Woman, behold thy son!' Then saith he to the disciple, 'Behold thy mother!' (John 19:26-27.) What a divine example of gratitude and love!" ~Thomas S. Monson
Today is my Mom's Birthday! I have to admit that my Mom is one of my best friends. I am so very GRATEFUL for the constant example of faith, and courage she has always been to me. When I lived at home I would always try to greet my mom near the front door, sometimes to try and scare her {It was always fun to see her jump and scream!} but mostly to give her a hug and a mini massage. Thank you so much for always taking the time to talk with me, and tell me about the things that are going on in your life. Happy Birthday Mommy! WE LOVE YOU!!!
