"Sneak Peek"

I recently finished making a special gift for my niece and although I want to keep the finished product a surprise, she wanted to have a little sneak peek. So Julia here it is:The second picture is a sneak peek for another niece Ashlyn {due in March.}
I'll be sending them off to Utah this week. So check back to see the final result in a couple of weeks!

Kati's Diaper Cake

Brock and I attended a baby shower for Kati Manzi today. I have a tradition of making diaper cakes for baby showers so here's the one I made for Kati.

I thinkI did a good job of matching the decor, What do you think?Of course there was some very yummy food, but this fruit salad was delicious!

Special Shoes!

I was just remembeing when we first got Brock into his special shoes {his brace to help his clubfeet}. His feet looked absolutely tiny, he was always finding a way out {Our own little Houdini}. But day by day his feet got bigger and one day I looked down and his feet had become way too big, his little toes creeping over the edge of the shoe. {they are open toe, so I wasn't too worried.} We then got a new pair ordered and just looking at them I thought his feet were way to little for those shoes. {Seriously the shoes were enormous}
But I put him into his shoes and continued on with our regular routine. The shoes are still a little big, but I find it fun to remember how teeny tiny his feet once were and how much they have already grown. So although these special shoes still seem huge, I know that in the blink of an eye Brock's toes will once again start creeping their way to and over the edge of the shoes.
Why I find so much joy in that I'll never know, but for now I'm loving every inch of this growing boy!

Quote of the Week ~ Gratitude

"Gratitude is a Spirit‑filled principle. It opens our minds to a universe permeated with the richness of a living God. Through it, we become spiritually aware of the wonder of the smallest things, which gladden our hearts with their messages of God's love. This grateful awareness heightens our sensitivity to divine direction. When we communicate gratitude, we can be filled with the Spirit and connected to those around us and the Lord. Gratitude inspires happiness and carries divine influence." ~Bonnie D. Parkin~

8 Months

They say that time flies when your having fun!
I must be true because 8 months have passed since our "big boy" Brock was born!

Eight! 8! Eight!
I can hardly believe it! Brock is such an amazing joy in our life. I can't believe how fast his is growing, but more importantly I can't believe how blessed I am to have his loving spirit in my life!

PS.For Nana, if you look at some of the recent pictures, you can see Brock teeth! He's had them for just over a month and a half! He never really went through that "teething" phase. They just kind of pop out one day! But I think he's teething now, he drools all the time, and is constantly chewing on his board books. So I'm thinking that his top teeth will be coming in shortly.

Quote of the Week ~ Gratitiude

"There is gratitude for our mothers. One writer summed up our love for mother when he declared, 'God could not be everywhere, and so He gave us mothers.' While on the cruel cross of Calvary, suffering intense pain and anguish, Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, 'Woman, behold thy son!' Then saith he to the disciple, 'Behold thy mother!' (John 19:26-27.) What a divine example of gratitude and love!" ~Thomas S. Monson

Today is my Mom's Birthday! I have to admit that my Mom is one of my best friends. I am so very GRATEFUL for the constant example of faith, and courage she has always been to me. When I lived at home I would always try to greet my mom near the front door, sometimes to try and scare her {It was always fun to see her jump and scream!} but mostly to give her a hug and a mini massage. Thank you so much for always taking the time to talk with me, and tell me about the things that are going on in your life. Happy Birthday Mommy! WE LOVE YOU!!!
