Happy Halloween! And Bananas!

Brock and I found the perfect way to share a Happy Halloween with all of you!
Isn't this just the cutest ghost card ever? Brock really loved giving me a helping ....... FOOT! {Hopefully the family has gotten our little cards by now, if not it's in the mail!} We also got Brock's picture taken in his costume, but I can't find the scanner so I won't be able to share that with you. But they came out pretty cute. {side note} If you want to see a cool Halloween pic click Here or Here, and check out my brother's x-rays from last year.. Way cool!
Now onto the Bananas...
That's right My little Bubbas ate a banana today! Yum Yum! Of course I didn't feed it to him like this, I mashed a piece of banana and mixed it in with his cereal this morning for breakfast. He loved it! Just thought I would hand one over to him for the picture!

The tree outside.

Brock loves to look out the front window at the tree we have in the front yard. We like to talk to him about the leaves changing colors, and the wind blowing through the branches. He finds it amazing, or at least he must because he gets completely hypnotized every time.

Then after our tree gazing fun. I went on the computer to check my email and a few blogs and this is what Brock did when we came across Elly's Picture:

{Elly is my friend Amy's little girl, aka Brock's girlfriend/ future wife:)}

5 Months Old!

Can you believe this little guy is 5 months old? Oh who am I kidding... he hasn't been "little" for a while now! I found this hat last night when I was organizing a few things, and he's almost too big for it!

The results are in...

And avocado is a winner! As planned, Brock experienced his first real food today, and loved it. He ate way more then I was expecting him to, and the best part is that I was able to finish off the leftovers! Yummy!

Harvest Festival & Trunk or Treat!

Tonight we went to our ward Harvest Festival/ Trunk or Treat! Brock was able to dress up in his little Halloween costume ... so here are a few pictures for our friends and family so far away!
There was a costume contest but when it came time to walk the runway Brock was busy doing this:
{just a little "turtle" nap!} he woke up not long after that!{Brock and Mommy}{Brock with his buddy Brigham}
I made some yummy Halloween Munch and packaged those along with some snack size Twizzlers to give away to the kiddos. We had a blast!

Halloween Munch
1 bag chocolate covered raisins
1 bag marshmallows
1 bag Reese's pieces
1 box of either cinnamon toast crunch, or honey grahams cereal
Place all ingredients into big bowl and mix together.
Now go ahead and munch away!

Alligator Pear~Nature's perfect food...

Avocado! Yeah, that's right I said Avocado! And that's what I've decided to use as Brock's first "real" food. I'm going to be trying it out on his 5th month birthday..{this Sunday}. Some of you might think this is a weird food to try out on a baby, when I told my Mom about it a few weeks ago she thought I was nuts, and that she had never heard of anyone using Avocado as a "first food". But what can I say Mom, I like to be different. But avocados have great nutritional value as well, such as: folate, fiber, potassium, vitamin E, and iron. A serving of avocado also contains 81 micrograms of the carotenoid lutein and 19 micrograms of beta-carotene. Per serving, avocados have 3.5 grams of unsaturated fats, which are known to be important for normal growth and development of the central nervous system and brain. Plus it's really easy to make for baby, and it's right up there with bananas, no need to cook avocado's just peel, mash, and serve! Yummy!{At least I know Kelly will back me up on this one!} So check back on Sunday for Brock's new food adventure!
