Snow day fun

We woke up to a winter wonderland  this morning. After shoveling the driveway Nicholas and I played around in the yard and painted the snow.

We then made a friendly face on the bricks!

Turning FIVE.

Nicholas is such a sweet boy.  He has been talking about his birthday for a long time.  Some days I really miss the cute wobbly, curly haired toddler he once was.

 But I am loving this little guy. He is so funny.  Tradition calls for a birthday interview so here it is:

FAVORITE COLOR:  purple

FAVORITE ACTIVITY: play Xbox

FAVORITE FOOD: Bacon and  pasta

FUTURE OCCUPATION:  a builder. 

Right now Nicholas is LOVING preschool. He made quick friends with a little boy named Eli and he is constantly asking if He can invite him over for a play date. It is sweet. One if these days it will happen. 

I can't wait to see what adventures this little guy will face in the year to come.

1 year later

It's hard to believe my little chubby bubby is now one year old. Time is flying by. I still remember the day of his birth like it was yesterday.

So many wonderful experiences we had this year. So many new adventures to come. Happy first birthday Dallas.

 traditional Snow Angels.   and although it looks like the boys mad this on a frozen lake. It is in fact just our frozen backyard!  I took the boys around the back yard on a sled.

 Which Dallas made no expression until I took him off and he watched the boys go around without him

 

Put him back on and he was all smiles again. Okay maybe not all smiles but at least he stopped crying!

Birthday Fun

After  a week of not sounding great and not getting any better I decided to take Dallas into the Doctor.  after hours of waiting and xrays,
 

 and breathing treatment. 

we went home just to find out later that he had the flu. not exactly how I planned to spend my birthday But glad my Little Bubby is feeling  a little better 

and we know what is going on now. 

 happy 32nd to me! got my yummy birthday burger at red robin too!

Ice Ice baby!

took the boys for a little visit to the Children's museum and found this left over ice sculpture from "first night"  boys loved it!
