1 month old!

Hard to believe this little guy is already a month old!  I just got back from his checkup,  He is doing great!  Top of the charts and now weighs just about 13 pounds (12 pounds 13 oz) and 23 inches long.
We are so in love with this precious boy. Brock and Nicholas find it hilarious anytime he makes a sound. Brock is constantly wanting to. "See baby", "kiss baby", "hold baby".  Nicholas is always touching Dallas. (like too much touching.)  and bringing baby toys to play with.  We are loving every minute with Dallas.

My Boys on Valentine's Day

We have yet another snow day here. So instead of packing a lunch and dropping Brock off at school. I attempted to get a picture of all three boys.

I bribed them with a chocolate Hug.    success!
Happy Valentine's Day to all our Family ans Friends!

Being Four

We have been working on a new normal around here. a new baby has a way of changing the way we do things.  I've been meaning to take some pictures of the Nicholas for his Fourth Birthday for a while now and was finally able to capture a few. Actually they all came out pretty cute, so I had to narrow it down to my favorites.

we recently cut off all his curls (again)   yes we LOVE his curls, but they are way too hard to tame in winter. (can you say hat head)  I told Nicholas we needed to trim his hair and he told me I couldn't your sizzors so out came the buzzer.  his curls will be back soon enough.

Welcome Home Little One!

Tuesday morning I went to my OBGYN for a check on the baby. It was his due date and still nothing going on . My doctor and I then talked about being induced and set that up for Thursday morning.
So I planned on getting up Wednesday doing one last workout at the gym and finish getting things ready to be admitted on Thursday.    Notes written to Brock's  teacher about who would be picking him up and where I would be, in case he started acting up in class. (He has been very anxious waiting for baby 'a arrival). That was the plan anyway!
Wednesday morning I woke up to one of this many potty visits us pregnant women have and the minute I entered the bathroom my water broke.
Gush!
Just like in the movies!
After cleaning that up I took a quick shower and changed and climbed back into bed. My contractions had started by that point but they were still 10 minutes apart and not painful at all so I laid back in bed and counted them out.
I finally got out of bed at my usual time (7:00am). To get Brock's lunch ready and get him off to school. Still contraction were 7-10 minutes apart and not painful so I  walked through it. When Ryszard got up I casually told him. " by the way my water broke this morning. ".  We told the boys and dropped Brock off at school and telling him by the end of the day he would have a new baby brother.
Ryszard and I then went to Target to get a booster seat for Babcia's car. (It took me a long time to get the other car seats in just right and I didn't want to move them back and forth from car to car.).  When we got home I called my OB and left a message. Then I decided to try and take a nap contractions had slowed at this point and I was just tired.  That's when the nurse called and told me to come in.
We checked in at 10:08 got into the birthing room at 11:30 and started pitocin. At 2:30 I gave in and got my epidermal. Ouch!   And started pushing at 4:00. It was hard!   I was extremely tied and seriously did not feel up to pushing this little guy out.  It took everything I had and then some.  Finally our baby boy was here!  I was expecting a 8 and half pounder just like my other two had been but Dallas surprised us with a whopping 9 lbs 4 oz.   No wonder I felt so tired!   We absolutely love him to pieces.
The boys were so excited to meet Dallas when we brought him home. Nicholas has been my little helper with everything. And Brick just wants to "hold  the baby" all of the time. Can't say I blame him Dallas is adorable!     We are now officially a family of 5!
This was a hard delivery on me. And it's taken me a lot longer to start feeling better / my old self.  Completely sore everywhere. Totally needing a massage, a chriopacter and a hot tub!

Nicholas... The Birthday Boy!

Sometimes it's hard to believe that we've had this little guy in our lives for 4 years.

Nicholas is such a special boy. He is very loving and affectionate and gives the absolute best hugs EVER!  He is also shy and quiet and can create lots of mischief.

 Happy Birthday Nicholas.

Last weekend as a family of Four... Maybe!

For months strangers at the store, and some of the other parents at pickup have been telling me that I wouldn't make it to Christmas let alone to my due date before Baby arrived.  Yet here I am 3 days from the due date and baby is sitting nice and comfy.
So how did we start our (hopefully) last weekend as a family of four?  At the gym! 3 days to go and yes I'm at the gym. Working out and lifting weights. Before you worry, yes my doctor knows and is actually encouraging it!  Believe me when  I first found out I was expecting baby #3 I never thought I'd still be working out 4-5 times a week. Nor did I think I would do it this close to the "end" but I feel great. Baby is healthy and happy and moving around  all the time, and there is really no reason not to. This has truly been and easy pregnancy not to mention a healthy one!
Besides Baby's arrival ( a major life/ family changing event)  there is also another big event about to take place. My little guy  Nicholas is turning 4 in just 3 days. (yes! Baby is due on his birthday.  I'm thinking baby will be a few days later than expected).
I'm not yet at that " okay I'm ready" stage. I guess expecting my 3rd baby and another boy that  feeling just hasn't come. He'll come when he comes!
Brock on the other hand is getting impatient. He asks me almost daily if I can " just go to the doctor and have him take the baby out". Sorry bud not how it works.  He is super excited to meet his new baby brother.
Nicholas is excited too. He is constantly telling me how he is going to be my helper. He will help me change diapers and tell me when the baby needs to eat and take a bath.  He is super cute about all of it.
I just know he's going to be a super helper and a great big brother.

Now if I can just give Nicholas a fun Happy 4th birthday before baby comes. Things will be great.  Wish us luck!

Happy Holidays

Sometimes things just don't come out how you planned. Like me trying to get a decent family picture for the "Christmas letter"   Oh well I tried!   maybe when these guys are a little older we will actually all look at the camera together and smile sweetly!

Our little guy Nicholas is not so little anymore!  He will be turning 4 soon and I often find myself watch some home movies and really missing his cute little voice.  He is a shy little guy  and has some Awesome dance moves Just like his mom!  :) He is looking forward to having a little brother and is constantly telling me how he will help me know when baby needs certain things.   He even says he'll help change diapers.
Brock is half way through Kindergarten and LOVING it. He has made some good friends and his teacher loves how helpful he is in class.  He's favorite part of school is reading groups.  and he loves to play games on mommy and daddy's phone.  Brock is also very excited for a new little brother.
(Brock says he will help with everything EXCEPT diapers.)

We wish you all a very merry Christmas and Joyous New Year!
