Testimonies

What an amazing Sunday it has been. I absolutely love the first Sunday of the month. Going to church and feeling such a wonderful spirit from all who gather. I find the bearing and sharing of testimonies so comforting. With all the amazing testimonies you hear it's hard not to believe. I often feel my own testimony shrinks in the light of those around me, and then there's that one person who comes up and says how grateful they are that I shared mine. And that makes every little tear I shed, {which I tend to always cry when I bear my testimony, something I'm sure I inherited from my Mom!} worth while.
That is one of the greatest parts of being a member of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter- Day Saints. We are able to share our own testimonies with each other, and we can build upon each others' testimonies. What an amazing feeling. I love knowing that I believe in a Heavenly Father, His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. I love being able to teach my child {and future children} about the scriptures. What greater feeling can you have than to KNOW, what is right?
I love the words Joseph Smith used about seeing God and His son. He said; "I KNEW it! I knew that God knew it and I could not deny it." How easy it would have been for him to walk away, to take back what he said, to chalk it up to a silly fantasy. But he didn't! He knew what he had seen. And he shared that testimony with others. What an amazing life he lived because of the Truth of the gospel. I love learning and knowing of him.
I hope in my learning and sharing of the gospel, I'll always be able to Know, and testify of it.

July 4th!

This is how Ryszard, Brock and I spent our fourth of July, getting family pictures! Just thought I'd share a few! We also got some picture taken in his blessing outfit. I'm glad we did cause his outfit barely fits him, and it's a 3 month size! My baby is growing up way too fast!

Look at my little Brock pretending to sleep! He did this a lot today. I put him down for a second and he's wide awake, and then I said "Are you sleepy?" and he smiles and closes his eyes for a split second. Priceless!

Casting Day!

Wednesday's are Casting Day here in the Milewski household! {hopefully for not much longer!} We made our weekly visit to Shriner's Hospital in Springfield, MA. {We are so lucky to live so close, and not have to drive for hours to get there}

I was right Brock's casting for abduction is all set. Meaning we won't be turning his foot outwards anymore. But that doesn't stop the casting process. We still have to start the Dorsal Plantar Flexion, {turning the foot up} When feeling his ankle today we realized Brock's tendons are really tight,

{he didn't like us "testing" that at all. Although you can't blame him, he's not use to anyone playing with his ankles} so next week we're going to have to make the decision of whether or not to do and Achilles Tenotomy, {a small cut of the heel cord.} Sounds scary huh? But it allows for more rotation and it makes the process a bit faster.

Oh and Brock didn't quite gain his usual 14 ounces this week. But he did gain 10!

So his new weight: 11 pounds, 12 ounces! and 22 1/2 inches That's our Big Boy!

I absolutely love! Scentsy Candles. I don't know how many of you have heard about them but they are wonderful! I think it is the hottest new thing in candles. They are a wickless candle so you don't ever have to worry about forgetting to blow out your candle. Which is GREAT! Instead of a wick they use super cute warmers. And they have a lot of scents to choose from and the scents smell sooooo good and the scent lasts long too!. Unlike a lot of candles now a days. Anyway, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I think it is a great product for anyone interested in having a super good smelling house and for you go-getters out there it is a great business to join. One of my very good friends, Amy is a consultant as well as one of my sisters. And maybe once I get a litle more organized I'll finally jump on the band wagon! What I want to see this summer!

1. The OLYMPICS!
I've never been much of an "Olympics" fan. When I do find the time to watch it's always the always the men's gymnastics. But since my Alexei Nemov retired there hasn't been much need for me to even be interested. But this year I'm cheering hard, in a new sport, for a different country. I had a huge smile on my face when I glanced at a friends blog this morning that read:



Mr. Olympian
My little brother, Niklas, has made the Swedish Olympic Team and will be competing in the discus competition in Beijing this next month. How dang awesome is that?! Nik has worked so hard training for this summer and has endured a lot of injuries and other problems. Nik has competed all over Europe already this summer. He's gone to Poland, Turkey, Estonia, Denmark, and of course, Sweden. He's going to compete with the best of the best this summer. To us, he is the best of the best and we are so proud of him. Good luck Niklas! We'll be cheering you on from out here :)

I grew up with Niklas and his family, and have been expecting this news for a while, considering how great an athlete he is. Our Mom's are great friends and every time I ask my Mom if she's heard anything she says No, only that she knows he's off somewhere competing . So today the news is official. I know my entire family will be excited for the Olympics this year! It's so awesome to actually know someone in the Olympics, even if he is competing for Sweden.
